Import Changelogs

You can import Changelogs from other platforms via CSV.

Importing Changelogs into Productlane

You can import existing changelogs to Productlane to make your transition fast and keep your product history in one place.

How it works

When you import changelogs, Productlane takes your existing entries (from a CSV or Markdown file) and automatically creates Changelog posts in your portal. Each entry becomes a draft you can review and publish.

Supported formats • CSV (exported from tools like Intercom, Notion, or custom files) • Markdown (e.g. GitHub or GitBook changelogs)

How to import

  1. Go to Changelog in the Productlane dashboard.

  2. Click “Import” in the top right corner.

  3. Choose your file (CSV or Markdown).

  4. Map the fields: • Title → becomes the changelog post title • Body → becomes the post content • Date → sets the publish date

  5. Review your entries and publish them all at once or one by one.

Tips

• If your CSV has custom fields, you can skip or remap them during import.

• Drafts don’t go live until you publish them.

• You can always edit titles, content, and dates after import.
