You can import existing changelogs to Productlane to make your transition fast and keep your product history in one place.
When you import changelogs, Productlane takes your existing entries (from a CSV or Markdown file) and automatically creates Changelog posts in your portal. Each entry becomes a draft you can review and publish.
Supported formats • CSV (exported from tools like Intercom, Notion, or custom files) • Markdown (e.g. GitHub or GitBook changelogs)
Go to Changelog in the Productlane dashboard.
Click “Import” in the top right corner.
Choose your file (CSV or Markdown).
Map the fields: • Title → becomes the changelog post title • Body → becomes the post content • Date → sets the publish date
Review your entries and publish them all at once or one by one.
• If your CSV has custom fields, you can skip or remap them during import.
• Drafts don’t go live until you publish them.
• You can always edit titles, content, and dates after import.
If your file doesn’t match the required format, reach out to us via chat or at [email protected]. We’ll help you get it imported.
