Viewer seats are internal seats for teammates who only need read access. They don't count toward your full-seat total and aren't for external, customer-facing users.

Viewer seats stay free and unlimited, so you can add as many internal teammates as viewers without affecting your bill. If you find Year 1 costs too high, you can switch to our Starter plan at $29/seat/month instead.
The default offer is 6 full seats at $99/seat, discounted per the schedule above. If your team is smaller, our team can approve a reduced seat count (for example 3 seats instead of 6) at the same per-seat discount schedule, lowering your total monthly price accordingly. Ask about this when you apply, since seat count is set during approval and isn't self-service afterward.
The Early Stage program runs as a 3-year discount schedule, billed as a 12-month contract paid monthly. You are not required to commit to all 3 years upfront:
You commit for 12 months at a time, with charges billed monthly within that term.
At the end of each annual term, you can cancel instead of continuing into the next year.
If you continue, you renew into the next year's price on the schedule (for example, the Year 2 price after your first year) rather than being moved to full list price early.
You can also pay for Year 1 only up front and decide later whether to continue at the Year 2 price, instead of committing to the full 3-year schedule at signup.
The standard Early Stage contract is a 12-month term, billed monthly. You can cancel at the end of each 12-month term instead of committing to the full 3-year discount schedule upfront; the 3-year table above shows how your price changes if you stay enrolled that long.
To apply for the discount, you need to meet all of the following:
Raised less than $10M in funding
Fewer than 15 employees
Haven't been on a paid Productlane plan before
Maximum of 6 full seats (viewer seats don't count toward this limit)

The approval process typically takes 1 to 2 business days. If approved, you'll be notified via email. Provide accurate information so our team can review your application quickly.
Once approved, you have 30 days to start your subscription. If you don't activate within 30 days, the application expires, and you'll need to reapply.

The standard Early Stage program is built around 6 full seats. If your team only needs a handful of seats, the standard structure isn't a fit, since fewer seats without the program would put you on the Starter plan without the startup discount.
In that case, contact support to ask about a custom startup arrangement. Support can negotiate exceptions on a case-by-case basis, for example:
A 3-seat setup with a 1-year upfront commitment, instead of the standard multi-year structure
An optional discounted second year, agreed upfront, instead of automatically stepping down to list price
Custom arrangements are handled individually and aren't guaranteed. Contact support to discuss what's possible for your seat count and stage.
If your workspace was approved for the Early Stage program but your invoice still shows standard pricing, this is a billing correction, not a plan change. Contact support with your workspace name and the approval confirmation you received by email. Support can apply the correct discount to your account directly.
To avoid this happening again, make sure you activate your subscription within the 30-day approval window and double check the plan and price shown on your billing page after checkout.
Switching from Early Stage to another plan (such as Pro) can affect pricing and seat counts. Per-seat costs apply outside the program. Pro is billed at $59 per seat, Scale at $99 per seat.
Contact support to remove your Early Stage plan. Your billing page won't show new plan options until removal is confirmed.

Remove inactive teammates to reduce seat charges after transitioning
Downgrade carefully, since the Early Stage program is an annual contract billed monthly. Downgrades take effect after your current billing period.
What happens if I'm not accepted to the program?
You can still start with our Starter plan at $29/seat/month. If your situation changes (smaller team, earlier stage, less funding), you're welcome to reapply.
What happens in year 2?
Your discount decreases from 89% to 24%, bringing your monthly cost to $451. You keep the same 6 full seats, and viewer seats stay free and unlimited. AI Agent resolutions move to standard usage-based pricing at $0.79 each.
What happens in year 3?
In year 3, you move to standard Scale plan pricing at $594/month for your 6 seats. After year 3, you remain on the Scale plan at standard list pricing.
What happens at the end of the program?
You move to the standard Scale plan, billed per seat at the current list price. You can also downgrade to Pro or Starter if those fit your needs better.
Can I get fewer than 6 full seats?
Yes. If 6 seats is more than your team needs, ask about a reduced seat count (such as 3) when you apply. Our team can approve a smaller allotment at the same discount schedule, so your total monthly price scales down with the seat count.
Do I have to commit to all 3 years upfront?
No. The program is billed as a 12-month contract paid monthly, renewed one year at a time. You can cancel at the end of any annual term. You can also pay for Year 1 only and decide later whether to continue, and if you do continue, you move into the next year's quoted price on the schedule rather than losing your discount early.
What currency are prices billed in?
All Early Stage program prices are in USD.
I've started a trial with Productlane. Can I still join the program?
Yes, as long as you apply within 90 days of signup and haven't been on a paid plan before.
Does my AI Agent credit allowance drop while I'm trialing on the Startup program?
No. A regular trial is capped at the free-tier AI credit allowance, but Startup program workspaces are vetted before approval, so they keep their full plan credits (100 AI Agent resolutions per month in year 1) for the whole trial period.
Can existing Productlane customers apply for the Early Stage program?
The program is for companies that haven't been on a paid Productlane plan before. If you signed up recently and are within 90 days, you can apply.
Can I join the Early Stage program a second time?
No, each company can participate in the Early Stage program once.
Is the Early Stage program a monthly subscription or an annual contract?
The Early Stage program is an annual contract billed monthly. You commit for 12 months, with charges hitting monthly. Downgrades take effect after the current billing period.
Can we change the subscription at any time?
You can cancel at the end of your annual term. Mid-term plan changes are limited because seats and pricing are fixed for that term as part of the program.
What if I need fewer than 6 seats?
The standard program is fixed at 6 seats. Contact support about a custom arrangement. For example, support has set up 3-seat workspaces on a 1-year upfront commitment with an optional discounted second year, instead of the multi-year structure used for 6-seat workspaces.
My discount wasn't applied. What do I do?
Contact support with your workspace name and approval confirmation. This is a billing fix support can apply directly to your account, and it doesn't require reapplying to the program.
